Group feedback: Educated and Little Women

Our report this week comes from the group at HMP Send.

“Brief discussion of Educated by Tara Westover, very engaged with idea of education:

“See, we should try reverse psychology on our kids: you can’t go to school; that would make them want to”

“I was following how she got her education.”

“Insights into lives I wouldn’t normally have with our bookgroup books”

Then, brief intro from Rachael Clay, and into the reading of her adaptation. Having resisted play-reading in the past, they just went for it, and did brilliantly. Orin in particular, got hold of Jo, and the others followed her lead. Wonderful. Great to see them getting stuck in, making their audience laugh etc.

Maybe some more plays in the future?”
